High Falls Compilation - 1975 to 2000 (3 CDRs)
I got this interesting compilation in a Allmans mailing list tree. It highlights great playings of the song High Falls. Thats right 3 discs worth of High Falls and High Falls solos only. Features the song done by the many different guitarists and keyboard players through the years including Chuck Levell, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes & Jack Parsons. Theres even a recording of the Allmans first playing of the song and Dicky Bett's band Great Southern doing the song before it was released commercially. I know your thinking how many times can you listen to the same song but if you have ever heard High Falls its such a great beautiful jazzy instrumental this is a great compilation to listen to little bits at a time. Hats off to John page for the idea and the work. Disc 3 includes just Jack Parsons versions, jack might not be the strongest rocker but this Jazzy song suites him very well.
